Pressures

The main hydromorphological pressures affecting European freshwater systems have been identified in the EFI+ project and EU Intercalibration process. These pressures have been organised in 4 pressure groups indicated below according to the Water Framework Directive. For each pressure group a number of possible restoration and rehabilitation measures are presented based on information compiled from the River Basin Management Plans of the countries represented in the FORECASTER consortium and information provided by the the Environment Agency of England and Wales[1].
