Add/feed sediment02. Sediment flow quantity improvement

General description

The same measure with a slightly different objective (to enhance instream habitat conditions) is described in the fact sheet Add sediments

Cost-efficiency

Artificial sediment addition is a very costly enterprise which furthermore is not sustainable. In addition artificial sediment addition is consuming land and material for gravel excavation with negative ecological side effects and indirect cost. Therefore proper hydraulic structures and sediment transfer should be given way wherever possible.
