River Typology has been defined applying System A of the Water Framework Directive (WFD 2000).

Ecoregions for rivers and lakes (WFD 2000)

Altitude typology

  1. high: > 800 m
  2. mid-altitude: 200 to 800 m
  3. lowland: < 200 m
